GMB Korea’s innovative journey in changing the mobility era

GMB Korea Co., Ltd. (CEO Chung Se-young, CEO Song Byung-young) held an opening ceremony on October 15 at the New Technology Research Institute in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, and announced that it would start a new research and production hub for eco-friendly auto parts development.

This technology institute will focus on developing electric and hydrogen vehicle parts and respond quickly to market changes in line with the rapid expansion of the eco-friendly automobile market.

Through the establishment of this research institute, GMB Korea predicts that electric and hydrogen car parts will account for more than 50% of the total production in the future by utilizing the newly introduced production line. In particular, the company plans to secure technical advantages of various eco-friendly parts such as electric water pumps and integrated thermal management modules to increase its competitiveness in the changing automobile market.

At the opening ceremony, President Song Byung-young said, "The new opening of the Technology Research Institute is not just an expansion of facilities, but a major turning point for us to solidify our technological competitiveness in the electrification market and become a technology specialist company."

"GMB Korea will continue to contribute to the development of the automobile industry through sustainable growth and technological innovation that exceeds customer expectations," it said.
