GMB Korea R&D Center provides highly efficient, innovative engineering
solutions to change the mobility world. Through patent application and
registration, we lead the world in terms of the quality of mobility products
and continuously revolutionize technology that reflects the demands of
customers as well as the industry.
GMB Korea has applied for over 200 patents in various technical areas and
registered 102 of them, through which we prove and proclaim our
technological superiority (as of August 2024).
Status of Patents and Design Rights
Applied for and Registered
Currently, technical patents related to cost reduction and engine cooling (F04D) account for about 30%, and we also own patents in generators and motors (H02K),
gearing (F16H), power transfer units (F16C), and others. Such patent portfolio clearly shows that GMB Korea continues R&D activities with focus on efficiency in a
vehicle’s energy use as well as durability of parts.
